The overall experience was great. The office was clean and modern. The hygienist that I worked with , Kitty, did a great job taking her time, explained and everything, it was very thorough with my cleaning.. This was the first dentist in a while where I have felt genuinely heard. The office is immaculate, the staff are so wonderful, and the rooms are comfortable/modern. Magali made me feel right at home and was personable and attentive. My RDH Allyssa took extra time to educate while cleaning. The attention to detail in the environment was a pleasant surprise. I have severe anxiety when it comes to any type of dental work, and he always goes above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and at ease. He takes the time to explain exactly what is happening and makes sure I understand everything before moving forward. His entire staff is incredibly friendly, caring, and accommodating, which makes every visit a much more pleasant experience. The office is beautiful and equipped with state-of-the-art technology, and they even have a wonderful children’s play area for families. Dr. McGavin is very proactive in offering advice for your dental care. Kitty, the hygienist, is thorough and extremely nice. The two of them have worked together for several years. They recommended a mouth guard to protect my teeth from damage during nighttime grinding and explained how the guard will work. My experience with the front desk staff has always been pleasant. I found White Palm quickly and we have 4 members of my family going now. I have even made friends with the receptionist Tatiana! She is a fantastic multi tasker and I commented after spending two separate times in there waiting for my kids to have their cleanings that she needed a side kick with how much she was juggling! The dentist actually listened, took the time to look closely, and caught something that had apparently been missed before. That matters. A lot. Instead of brushing off my concerns or giving me a rushed, generic answer, they treated the issue seriously and explained what could be happening with my gums and teeth. That kind of attention to detail is exactly what I needed. I left feeling like I had finally found someone who was looking at the whole picture, not just checking boxes. Dr. McGavin's treatment plans focus on long-term solutions to keep natural teeth healthy rather push for unnecessary dental work that many dentists do nowadays. He was transparent with billing for procedures and took the time to walk through my dental coverage. The hygienists and front desk team are warm, friendly, on top with appointments and scheduling. Tattiana and Alexis at the Front Desk are always very kind and smile when I arrive for my appointments. Dr. McGavin's assistant Brittanay is amazing as she explains what we are about to do as she sets up the room. I suffer from uncontrolable facial spasms, but Dr. McGavin himseslf is very patient with me. Unlike any other dentist I've seen, his professionalism is top-tier! THEN I had a dental emergency with a dental procedure that I am currently going through late one evening when the office was closed, my husband called the emergency line and Dr. McGavin himself answered the phone to help resolve the issue. He then felt this individual issue actually needed to be reviewed in person immediately, so he actually met us at the office that evening! Not that this would be a typical situation, but this speaks volumes to Dr. McGavin’s passion for his office and his patients. After dealing with severe pain and headaches for days, what I initially thought was TMJ turned out to be a serious issue with a tooth. Dr. McGavin went above and beyond and came in on an emergency basis when the office was closed to evaluate the situation. He quickly identified the problem and was able to remove the tooth successfully. The relief was immediate, and I’m incredibly grateful for the level of care and professionalism he showed during a very stressful situation. I also want to recognize the amazing staff. He's an absolute expert and professional; you will be in excellent hands. I can't recommend him enough. He's honest, very nice, and concerned with your problem; he listens and has a great bed side manner. Top notch. A story on how I found them: So I had a dentist before him, Viera Modern Dentistry, and I didn't realize it but they were ripping me off and doing a money grab on me. I went in to have them fix my broken tooth, before going to Dr. McGavin, and they said they could temporarily fix it but the main problem was my bite. They said I needed to do invisiline in order to fix the issue. So they pressured me into going that route. I stopped them and asked what the costs would be and what it entailed. They quoted me $6,000 (nothing covered by insurance) and said I needed to wear it for a year 22 hours a day. They pushed it on me hard. I just wanted my tooth fixed and they're trying to push me into invisiline! If I was concerned with my bite I'd go to an orthodontist! Also, as an aside, when I went there as a new patient just wanting a standard cleaning, 9 months ago, they went through a 3.5 hour process of testing my gums and told me I had early gum disease and needed the more extensive gum cleaning where they do laser, which isn't covered by my insurance! I was a sucker and elected to do it b/c they made me feel like there was a big problem and needed to be addressed ASAP. I did 3 or 4 of these cleanings which costed me $1,222 out of pocket! A regular 6 month cleaning is free and is covered by my insurance; not this cleaning! In any event, I am so glad I found Dr. Lance McGavin's dentist office - white palm dental. They are professional, absolute experts, and they are honest! I highly recommend them. If I stay in Florida he will be my dentist, that's a fact! (and I immediately cancelled my future gum cleaning appointments with Viera Modern Dentistry; I'm not going back there!).Posted on Google

Upon arrival the front desk was very friendly and professional. Dr. McGavin’s assistant as well was very polite, professional and knowledgeable in explaining possible causes in my tooth pain. Once Dr. McGavin came in, a very friendly and calm manner, he put me at ease very quickly. After examining my tooth he explained in detail what may have caused my discomfort. I went here for a second opinion after a bad experience at a more… commercialized dental place in Viera. Won’t name it here. This place, White Palm is awesome. The staff at the front desk were super nice and welcoming. The entire facility is impeccably clean and welcoming. The hygienist i saw (can’t remember her name) was super nice, gentle with my gums, and accommodating. I’m very pregnant and they were so gentle with my poor inflamed gums, the other place I had gone to were so rough my entire mouth was bleeding a LOT and in so much pain. I did not bleed from This place, and I did not leave in pain. The dentist was super nice and down to earth. Seriously appreciate him and all his staff! The receptionist was pleasant in greeting me and the dental hygienist, Alyssa, was excellent in her job. When I was through I had a vertigo attack and was not able to even stand up, I was so dizzy. Alyssa never left my side waiting to see if it would pass, but when it became obvious I couldn’t drive, she offered to drive me home. Another assistant followed her to take her back after we got to my house. She walked me into my house to get settled down. I have never been treated so kindly and with such care. He successfully replaced the crowns on 2 of my missing front teeth (placed on existing dental implants) by color-matching and reshaping them to look exactly like the others with perfect precision, sharp focus, and exceptional care. (Not to mention, Dr. McGavin also worked closely with a top-certified lab technician, surrounding himself with a highly skilled team to achieve such a spot-on match!) Dr. McGavin made it a point to ensure my restorations were perfect both functionally and aesthetically, which they absolutely are! E CMay 17, 2025Extremely happy that I made the switch to White Palm Dental. Dr McGavin is a caring, compassionate and skilled dentist. The dental exam & cleaning was the most thorough I've ever had. The hygienist and dentist reviewed all issues in detail with me, including showing me pics of the cracked teeth on the screen so I could see it. I had a crown from a previous dentist that felt too high and bothered me, Dr McGavin was proactive about fixing it and was very conscientious about the adjustments that needed to be made. I also had a crown put on a different tooth by this office. Best crown experience I've ever had and the crown fit perfectly without any adjustments. The office is clean and modern, nitris is available, they have tv's above you that you can watch while you are getting your teeth worked on, they put on nice scenery videos, and they play some music. Nitris oxide is available as well. The office also helped get my xrays from my prior dentist's office who was dragging their feet to send them over. I had an appointment the next day. The office is pristine and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I had to get the chipped tooth and my wisdom tooth pulled. Dr McGavin was reassuring and confident and showed me X-ray’s to explain how and why it needed to be done. The procedure took just under an hour and they made me feel comfortable the entire time. I saw that Dr McGavin was a military veteran and had a family history of dentistry and decided to make his practice my new primary dental facility. The office is designed beautifully and all the staff were so warm and receptive! The equipment and technology are all new and current! I love the fact that there is a tv on the ceiling to watch while having a cleaning or any other dental procedure! My cleaning was with Chelsea and she did amazing. Dr McGavin was so nice. They did full X-rays, pictures and checked the pocket depths. He did an exam after the dental hygienist was done and found a cavity so I came back to address it and that also was painless. Very friendly and professional staff that treated me exceptionally. My only exception was the prices were a little high. We don't have dental insurance and they offer an annual plan that covers cleanings along with 20% off any orher Dental work so that helps. I highly recommend this place.
